Hi David, I cant say how much I enjoyed the workshop, even in the wet morning conditions. You are a natural teacher, that is quite a rare skill. The advice was constructive and never judgemental and we both felt that we could ask for help without feeling stupid. I was physically tired after such a long day - don't know how you do it and keep up the enthusiasm when working on consecutive days. I will be coming on some future workshops. Thanks again Lyn
My wife and I had a 1-to-1 workshop with David last week. As novices we learnt so much about how to use our camera, as well as the opportunity to take some very interesting photos in and around North Yorkshire, coast and inland. The day flew by and after the day together we couldn't wait to put some of our new found skills into action. Everything makes so much more sense now. I had a one to one session with David. Im new to photography and was worried that i would struggle with the lessons. But David really brought it down to my level and by the end of the day I was taking some amazing shots and understanding what was been taught… I can’t thank David enough for the day I had and as soon as I’ve saved some more money i will definitely be booking my second lesson and hopefully go to the coast!!! I cannot recommend this man enough!!! You will not regret any money you spend on a day with him!!! Thank you so much David!!!
Really enjoyed my day with Dave on the Robin Hoods Bay workshop. Apart from being a good instructor and an enthusiastic coach; he is one of those guys who has the ability to put you at ease as soon as you meet. Dave knows the location well which allowed us to visit a number of different areas during the day. I would recommend a workshop with Dave to everyone.
I ordered 4 large prints from David and from the start he was fantastic. His commitment to customer service was outstanding and he was extremely helpful in tailoring my order to suit me. The quality of the prints and framing are exceptional, they really make the photos stand out so you get the full impact. I had a lot of commitments and David worked around them exceptionally, delivering to the door all on my terms. Well David, I have found time to sit down and thank you for a great day out at Malham in early February. When I say early I also mean early in the morning. The day was absolutely brilliant. You pitched the day just right for my knowledge. I now have more confidence when using my camera on ‘manual’ mode. If anyone wants a great day out learning about landscape photography, book a day with David. All the best David and I hope to share another day with you in the future
I’ve just returned from David’s Lake District workshop and can’t thank him enough for his knowledge of the area and the fantastic photographic locations he took us to and for all the tips and techniques he gave me which resulted in many images I am really pleased with. His relaxed and friendly manner made the whole experience a complete joy .
Thanks David for inspiring me to get out and about with my camera. I spent a full day with David meeting before Sunrise near Malham and visiting some amazing places I didn’t know existed. I learnt so much during the day despite having spent 30+ years as an amateur photographer including some really simple but effective techniques to really get the most from the location and the camera. Highly recommended and I will be back for more!
I recently completed a 3 day course in the Yorkshire Dales, and it was great. I'm not a beginner, and I've been using DSLR's for 15 years or so. But David taught me a lot of new techniques and introduced me to half a dozen features that I've never used on my camera before. And even though the course was mixed ability I always felt that I had personal attention, and suggestions. He also knew all the best spots to go to across the whole range of weather that we had, from gusty sunshine to pouring rain (and the best places for breakfast...). I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend David to anyone looking to take their next step in photography. It's reawakened my interest, and I'm back out there trying things out.
Hi David Thank you for the ‘eye opening’ workshop. Given that I was (and am) a complete novice, I am just very thankful you didn’t try to complicate it for me. I was worried I wouldn’t understand the technicalities of a camera but I am feeling a lot more confident about experimenting with the various settings now.
